It’s tempting to jump right to style and design, but before you make any final decisions, there are a few basic steps you must follow to get the most out of your new or renovated space. Remember, love is in the details and even the smallest detail is never too small.

Measure twice. Cut once!
Accurate measurements are your first step. Learn how much space you have available and consider how you’ll move about in your bathroom.
Pipes and drains.
You’ve got to get the water in and then get it out, so find out how you’re going to do that. While we’re on the subject…many of our vanities have a special P-trap opening to accommodate your plumbing.
Who’s in the bathroom?
Is this a family space, a bathroom for guests or a powder room? How many people will you need to accommodate? Double sink? Single sink? How much storage? Answering questions such as these provide the functional information you require while determining what form your room will take.
Style and color.
Once you get the basics covered, you get to the fun stuff. Modern, traditional, rustic, farmhouse? What’s going to fit your vision and then how do you incorporate color and top finishes? Browse our site to learn what most attracts you.

Cabinet Materials

Solid wood

Chosen for its strength and durability, Sudio Design vanities are produced with solid wood. The frame, trim and box drawers for most of our vanities are made of solid wood and paired with manufactured wood to provide durability, strength, customizability and high quality. Solid wood also delivers stunning looks when stained or painted.
MDF
Medium-density fiberboard (MDF) is made from recycled fibers, wax, and resin. These materials are compressed resulting in a remarkably smooth surface. All our MDF is sealed and protected for bathroom use. The majority of our vanities use MDF for the flat panels and interior shelves.
Wood veneer

Wood veneer is a solid wood trimmed to a thickness of 0.45 mm. Not only do you get the natural feel of solid wood, it provides warp-free structural integrity. The substrate for our veneers is MDF.

Melamine

Melamine is a durable plastic material perfect for producing various grains, patterns, and finishes. It is easy to maintain and clean while retaining its color. Melamine is fused with a substrate, such as particle board or MDF. When heated, melamine hardens, making the surface durable, colorfast, and scratch-resistant.

It is available in a wide range of hues and patterns. Melamine surfaces are easy to clean with a damp soft cloth and warm, soapy water.

Particle board

Particle board is made from compressed wood chips and synthetic resin and is only used for melamine vanities.
